- Stay in a ryokan with tatami mat floor coverings where you get to wear a yukata, enjoy an onsen bath, and sleep on a futon bed. A highlight of any ryokan stay is the elaborate multi-course dinner, also known as kaiseki ryokri. This is Japanese haute cuisine at its best.

- Walk around Tsukiji Fish Market for some serious food therapy. Think legendary street foods, the freshest sushi, and to-die-for omakase spots. It's one of the best places in Tokyo to enjoy fresh seafood.
- See a geiko in Gion. Gion is known as a historic geisha district, where the art of the geisha, known as "geiko" in Kyoto dialect, has been preserved for centuries.
- Walk across Shibuya Crossing. This is the world's largest and busiest pedestrian crossing and is also one of the most photographed scenes in Tokyo.
